Safety has always been the priority for us and we only stock CLEAN nutrition & beauty products. First and foremost - to Re{me}dy, CLEAN means the product is made without ingredients linked to harmful health effects.

For Beauty Products

The products we carry do not carry BHA, BHT, Coal Tar Dyes, DEA, Phthalates, Formaldehyde-releasing agents, Parabens, Siloxanes, SLS, Triclosan, Ethanolamine and Chemical sunscreens.

As for fragrance, we believe (as professional formulators) any negative effects that the synthetic fragrance can cause, if any, is pretty minor; hence if the product is good, we might allow it [however we will want the brand to move away from it with time, else we may discontinue carrying it].

We have the same approach with regards to PEGs. For products that contain PEGs, they must be made by a reputable manufacturer that we know won't cut corners.

For any products that we accept with PEGs, Fragrance or Colouring, they must be excellent products, open up their formulation to us to scrutinise and the brand must be willing to look at how to make their formulation more natural with time.

For Health Products

For health products we carry, they must contain nutrients that come from whole food sources, i.e. natural nutrients not synthetic nutrients. These sources are 100% plant / animal based.

In Re{me}dy, we believe that We Are What We Take In. Our bodies absorb the skincare products we put on and the nutrients we eat.

As a product of Nature, our bodies will naturally absorb nutrients from ingredients from Nature BETTER than synthetic ones.

Another reason is natural ingredients have existed thousands of years, so we are clear what it does. Man-made ingredients are new and who can be absolutely sure about the true side-effects they may present. It is only now that we are discovering that so many drugs / skincare products that are using synthetic ingredients are actually harming us more than they're helping us.

We have a mission to improve our sustainably pledge and are constantly looking for more ecological packaging to make us more sustainable.

We currently use Glass Bottles, PET-ALU Refill Pouches [can be recycled], Corrugated Mailer boxes / Donated Recycled Boxes for all our e-commerce sales. We also use GAEMI recycled paper /donated fillers to wrap and protect our products.

What we hope to do in the near future - We want to get Recycled Plastic Bottles or Bio-degradable Bottles as we know Glass Bottles are not the safest for our body + hair wash BUT there isn't any available in Malaysia currently and the tax to import these in is just too expensive.
