Why use soaps

Natural Soaps
CALMING
Calming is formulated with the purpose to soothe, clarify, and rebalance the skin; especially when it’s irritated, inflamed, or stressed. Inspired by traditional herbal remedies, this soap blends anti-inflammatory ingredients like Turmeric, Vetiver, and Javanese Turmeric to reduce redness and calm breakouts without drying the skin.
Rice and Betel Nut powders provide gentle exfoliation while helping to tone and refine the appearance of pores. Lavender essential oil is added to support skin healing and provide an added layer of antimicrobial care. This formulation is especially suited for those looking to maintain a healthy skin barrier and achieve calm, clearer skin naturally.
Calming has been formulated to tackle inflamed skin and is especially great for people with acne-prone skin. Though it wasn't initially designed for it, it has been proven effective for customers suffering from eczema.
For Body
➊ Use the bar (in *sisal bag / directly) on damp skin, Massage over the body in circular motions, then rinse thoroughly.
* recommended - as there are powdered ingredients in the soap, the scrub intensity for each soap can be inconsistent, so we recommend that if you want to use directly on your skin, use it in a sisal bag instead.
➋ Lather the soap between your hands or on a sponge until it foams, Apply the foam to your body, massage gently, then rinse off.
For Face
➊ Wet hands and lather the soap between your palms, Apply only the foam to your face (not the bar directly), Massage gently in circular motions, avoiding the eye area, Rinse well and pat dry.
Keep it dry between uses – Use a well-draining soap dish to prevent the bar from sitting in water. This helps it last longer and stay firm.
If using a sisal bag, hang it up to dry after use to avoid moisture buildup.
Store unused bars in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and humidity.

DID YOU KNOW
When we started, all our soaps are limited edition?
We found out that in a soap factory often have much left over ingredients because they always buy excess for each production projects which they often don't utilise completely.
So whenever we needed soaps, we will raid that left over shelf and try to use these left over ingredients in our formulation. This lead to us having to have a new formulation every time.
We had to stop this because we had to streamline our workforce, and (believe it or not) producing soaps this way was too expensive (due to it being smaller volume which still takes an equivalent effort to making a big batch).

Frequently Asked Questions
It’s formulated with anti-inflammatory botanicals like turmeric and vetiver to reduce irritation, and uses gentle exfoliants like rice and glutinous rice powder that won’t damage or overstimulate the skin. Lavender essential oil further supports skin healing while offering antimicrobial care.
That said, because it contains natural herbs and essential oils, we still recommend a patch test before full use for those with highly reactive or allergy-prone skin.
Calming is made with natural, plant-based ingredients and free from synthetic fragrances or harsh chemicals, making it really gentle on the skin. However:
- For children under 5: Their skin is more delicate and may be more sensitive to essential oils like lavender and herbal powders, so you should avoid using Calming for them.
- For kids above 5: It should be fine, but we still recommend to perform a patch test first.
- For pregnant women: The essential oils used (especially lavender) are generally considered safe during pregnancy in low concentrations. However, because pregnancy can heighten skin sensitivity and scent tolerance, we suggest consulting a healthcare provider before regular use.
Calming was not designed for babies under 12 months. It is packed with nourishing ingredients which may be too strong for a baby's delicate skin.
Calming does not contain synthetic fragrance. Its scent comes naturally from the herbal extracts as well as the essential oils used (Lavender).
