About

This is a calming soap that is great for acne prone skin. It is gentle enough to be used on the face or/and body. It contains lavender essential oil, which helps to calm and sooth the skin.

Why Use Calming?

It packs a lot of great herbal ingredients that are great for our skin.

It is designed to be a gentle scrubbing soap with amazing anti-inflammatory properties (Curcuma Xanthorrhiza Root Powder, Curcuma Longa (Turmeric) Root Powder, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil).

We have also packed it with anti-oxidants to promote skin healing & collagen support (Myristica Fragrans (Nutmeg) Powder, Citrus Aurantifolia)

And lastly, we added Vetiveria Zizanoides Root Powder to help with oil control.

This is why Calming is one of the most sought after soap in our store and has been proven to work really well even for eczematous skin.

Facial Application

Calming is really good as a facial cleanser and here is how to do that.

[Note - Do not use soap bar directly on face as it is a scrub soap]

Lathering soap properly is essential to ensure effective cleansing while maintaining the health of your skin. Follow these steps to create a luxurious and effective lather:

Step 1: Wet Your Hands and the Soap
Start by wetting your hands under warm running water. Next, wet the soap bar by holding it under the water stream or running water over it. Make sure both your hands and the soap are thoroughly wet.

Step 2: Rub the Soap Between Your Hands
Hold the soap between your palms and rub them together in a gentle, circular motion. This will transfer some of the soap’s surface oils onto your hands, creating the base for a good lather.

Step 3: Create the Lather
Continue rubbing your hands together, focusing on creating friction between them. The friction generates lather by mixing the soap’s oils with the water on your skin. Keep rubbing for about 20-30 seconds, or until a creamy and bubbly lather forms.

Step 4: Apply the Lather
Once you’ve created a rich lather, gently apply it to your skin. Use your fingertips or a gentle washcloth to massage the lather into your skin in circular motions. Make sure to cover all areas you want to cleanse.

Step 5: Rinse Thoroughly
After cleansing, thoroughly rinse your skin with warm water. Ensure that all traces of soap and lather are washed away. Use your hands to splash water onto your face, allowing the soap to rinse off completely.

Step 6: Pat Dry and Moisturize
After rinsing, gently pat your skin dry with a clean, soft towel. Avoid rubbing, as it can cause irritation. Once your skin is dry, follow up with a suitable moisturizer to lock in hydration and maintain your skin’s moisture balance.

Calming was the first soap we decided to make as a staple range (Our initial focus was just to make limited edition soaps out of the excess ingredients we find, hence will always change). A mom pleaded with us to continue making it as it seems only CALMING works for her daughter that suffers from eczema. We just could not turn away from that, we realised with great products come great responsibilities as well.
