At Re{me}dy, we want to help you discover and learn all about Natural Skincare Products, and the benefits of adopting a Natural Skincare Routine; free from synthetic chemicals which can be harmful to your body and the environment. With that, allow us to introduce one of our all-time Skincare Faves: Squalane Oil.

Squalane oil is a natural, lightweight oil that is derived from squalene, a compound that is found in high concentrations in human sebum (the oil produced by the skin). It is an effective moisturizer that can help to hydrate and nourish the skin, leaving it looking and feeling soft & smooth. Squalane oil is non-greasy and easily absorbed, making it suitable for all skin types, including oily and sensitive skin.
One of the main benefits of using squalane oil as a moisturizer is its ability to deeply hydrate the skin. Squalane oil is able to penetrate the outer layers of the skin, helping to lock in moisture and prevent water loss. This can help to keep the skin hydrated and supple, reducing the appearance of dry, flaky patches and giving the skin a healthy, radiant appearance.
In addition to its hydrating properties, squalane oil is also rich in antioxidants, which can help to protect the skin against environmental stressors such as pollution and UV radiation. It is also non-comedogenic, meaning it won't clog pores, making it suitable for use on acne-prone skin.
Usage Instructions:
To use squalane oil as a moisturizer, simply apply a few drops to clean, dry skin and massage it in until it is fully absorbed. It can be applied on top of a moisturizer or mixed with a facial serum to provide an extra boost of hydration.
Squalane oil is generally safe to use on the face, neck, and body, and can be used both morning and night. It can be used on its own or mixed with other oils or creams to create a customized skincare routine. If you are using squalane oil for the first time, it is always a good idea to patch test it on a small area of your skin to make sure you do not have any allergic skin reactions.
