Redensyl makes use of key botanical ingredients to reduce inflammation in the scalp whilst strengthening individual hair strands.

Other botanical ingredients we’ve included in A Good Scalp include Licorice Root Extract, He Shou Wu, Angelica Gigas Root Extract, Ginseng, Purslane, and Rhubarb extract, as well as moisturisers such as Propanediol, Aloe Vera, and Vitamin B. All these botanical ingredients were chosen to further reduce inflammation in the scalp, promote healing, and moisturise the hair shaft and scalp.

When the scalp is healthy, hair strands are less likely to fall off at the root prematurely, and a healthy scalp also encourages more hair growth. Moisturised, strengthened hair also means less hair breakage so that the hair appears and feels fuller and healthier.

Redensyl is a lab-studied and tested product, composed of 5 ingredients that include potent botanical extracts such as Green Tea and European Larch, which have been shown to be as effective as minoxidil in reducing hair fall and encouraging hair growth but without the side effects. The ingredients in Redensyl are completely plant-based and are crafted with green chemistry practices in mind, which means that it was created with products and processes that reduce or eliminate the use or generation of hazardous substances.

Redensyl has been shown to promote hair growth by stimulating hair follicle stem cells and reduce hair fall by strengthening the structure of the hair shaft itself. Besides the botanical extracts mentioned above, Redensyl also includes key components needed for hair growth, and hair shaft health, such as Zinc Chloride and Glycine.

A Hair Conditioner is designed to be rinsed off after use, with its main purpose to nourish and moisturise the hair shaft and ends, focusing on the feel and appearance of hair. The main ingredients in a hair conditioner reduce friction between individual hair strands to allow smoother combing, and help the hair appear shinier, making use of silicones and anti-frizz ingredients. A Hair Conditioner is typically not designed to be used on the scalp as the ingredients can often irritate or clog the pores on the scalp.

A Hair Tonic instead is designed to be left in the hair and scalp without rinsing off, with ingredients that are beneficial for both the hair and scalp health. Leave-in products are designed to have more time on the body to allow the beneficial ingredients more time to work. Hair tonics (including ours) are designed to nourish and treat damaged hair, as well as the scalp, working to improve the health, appearance, and feel of both the scalp and hair.

We wanted to focus on the requests we’ve gotten from our customers which was to create a product that helped with creating thicker, fuller hair. For healthy hair, we had to address the issue of scalp inflammation and brittle hair strands that result in more hair fall and hair breakage. To do this, we knew we would have to create a product that didn’t just focus on the appearance and feel of the hair but also on the health of both the hair and scalp.

While there are many great products out there for Hair Masks/ Oils, these products tend to focus on just the appearance of the hair itself, often neglecting scalp health. In fact, some hair masks/ oils are not recommended to be applied to the skin or scalp at all as they can cause buildup or clog pores, causing more issues. As a result, we decided to create a Hair Tonic as opposed to a Hair Mask/ Oil.

Although we are a skincare brand, we don’t encourage our customers to purchase and use products unneccessarily. We believe in creating good products that actually work, so that your hair/ body care routine isn’t a guessing game with revolving-door products, and you actually use up the products you purchase.

We advocate not just for consuming less, but consuming consciously. We believe that if you are able to find a good product that works for you, you should stick with it and only add more products or actives if you really need it.

So, we actually don’t recommend the Hair Tonic for everyone. However, if you are looking for a product to support a healthy scalp, fuller hair, and reduced hair breakage, then we would recommend for you to give A Good Scalp a try.

① For children below 12, definitely no.

② For teen girls that has hit puberty (12+), intimate washes can be used during periods. For boys below 18 years of age, there is no need to use the product.

③ For pregnant ladies, we do not recommend to use as it contains Pueraria mirifica, which has phytoestrogen activity. It is a product which is designed more for post-pregnancy use to help rejuvenate.

It is recommended to use A Good Scalp after washing the hair, when the hair is still slightly damp.

➀ Shampoo and condition the hair as usual.

➁ Towel dry hair lightly, leaving the hair slightly damp.

➂ Part your hair to expose parts of the scalp, and spray the tonic directly onto the scalp.

➃ Massage gently into the scalp and hair.

➄ Repeat as needed in different hair/ scalp sections.

➅ Towel dry/ blow dry hair as normal.

Yes, the only scent from A Good Scalp would be from the natural scent of the botanicals that were chosen for their benefits for the hair and scalp.
