Calme 2.0 Hydration Cream was thoughtfully formulated to care for sensitive, dry, and easily irritated skin. We’ve included premium ingredients commonly found in high-end moisturisers (like squalane, panthenol (provitamin B5), allantoin, and broccoli extract) to better nourish, soothe and protect our skin. Unlike most moisturising creams in the market that use synthetic fragrance, Calme 2.0 is naturally scented with a calming blend of pure essential oils.

Calme 2.0 is a significant upgrade:

• Better Skin Support:  Added Squalane, Panthenol (Provitamin B5), and Allantoin to deeply hydrate, soothe, and reinforce the skin barrier, which is great for dry or sensitive skin.
• Quicker Absorption: We introduced Squalane and replaced some of the oils in Calme 1.0 with lighter weight, faster absorbing oils.
• Better for Sensitive skin: We removed potentially irritating extracts, simplified the formula & added soothing ingredients like Allantoin, making it more suitable for reactive or easily irritated skin.
• Nutrient Rich Botanicals: Instead of 9 botanicals, we used 3 botanicals and enhanced the essential oil blend in 2.0. We refined the botanical composition with botanical actives that are safer for sensitive skin, offer richer nourishment, and are more ecological.
• Better for our Planet: We made 2.0 a whole lot more ecological, it is a much more biodegradable formulation. We removed the PEGs & synthetic conditioning agents from 1.0.

A moisturiser, like Calme 2.0 Hydration Cream, is a water-based product designed to hydrate the skin by combining humectants, emollients, and light occlusives. Humectants such as glycerin and sodium hyaluronate draw water into the skin, while emollients like squalane and argan oil help soften and smooth the skin’s texture. Light occlusives, such as fatty alcohols, help to reduce water loss and support the skin barrier. Moisturisers are ideal for dry or sensitive skin, as they replenish hydration, improve elasticity, and leave the skin feeling comfortable and balanced.

In contrast, a body oil is an oil-only formulation with no water content. It acts mainly as an emollient and occlusive, nourishing the skin and sealing in moisture by forming a protective barrier. Oils like grapeseed, MCT, and squalane provide essential fatty acids that help condition the skin and leave it feeling soft, smooth, and radiant. However, body oils do not add hydration on their own; instead, they lock in the moisture already present in the skin. This makes them especially effective when used right after a shower or layered over a moisturiser.

In humid environments like Malaysia, a body oil may be sufficient on its own for many skin types, offering lightweight nourishment without heaviness. However, we always recommend using the two in combination for optimal results: apply in sequence ~ ① moisturiser, then ② body oil. Together, they work even better to hydrate the skin, lock in moisture, and protect against dehydration. After all, maintaining hydration is key to keeping skin looking healthy, supple, and youthful.

Yes, Calme Hydration Cream 2.0 is specifically formulated with sensitive skin in mind (We distinctly use a very gentle essential oil blend) . It’s free from PEGs, silicones, and harsh actives, and contains calming ingredients like panthenol, allantoin, and squalane. We also simplified the botanical profile to reduce the risk of irritation, making it gentle, soothing, and safe for daily use even on reactive or easily irritated skin.

*NOTE: While Calme 2.0 is thoughtfully formulated to be gentle and suitable for sensitive skin, every skin type is unique. It is not possible to create a product that is 100% non-reactive for everyone. We always recommend doing a patch test before full use, especially if you have known sensitivities.

Although Calme 2.0 contains essential oils, they are used at low concentrations and each oil selected is generally considered safe for pregnant women and children aged 1 year and above. However, as a precaution, we recommend that pregnant women consult with a healthcare professional before use.

Calme 2.0 Hydration Cream is made with gentle, skin-soothing ingredients like squalane, allantoin, and panthenol. It contains no synthetic fragrance, only a light blend of essential oils for a calming scent.

While it’s suitable for most sensitive skin, we don’t specifically market it for babies due to the concentration of essential oils used. That said, we’re working on a version with a lower concentration + gentler essential oil blend designed to be safer and more suitable for infants under 12 months.

Calme 2.0 Hydration Cream does not contain synthetic fragrance. Its scent comes from a carefully crafted blend of gentle essential oils that also offer the aromatherapeutic benefits to help you relax.
