At the heart of this shampoo bar is He Shou Wu (also known as Chinese Knotweed), a traditional ingredient that’s been loved for decades, used for supporting hair growth and healthier-looking hair. Here, it helps calm inflammation while keeping your scalp feeling moisturised and comfortable.
To make things extra nourishing, we’ve paired it with two skin-and-hair softening emollients: Kokum Butter (similar to shea butter) to help seal in moisture, and Jojoba Seed Oil, which absorbs easily because it’s so similar to our skin’s natural sebum.
Together, these three ingredients give you a deeper, more moisturising cleanse without any added scent (no essential oils or synthetic fragrance oils), so it stays gentle for sensitive scalps.
➊ Wet your hair and scalp, then lather the bar in your hands until you have created sufficient foam. Apply the foam directly to your hair and scalp.
➋ Massage gently into your scalp with your fingertips then rinse off.
We recommend using this shampoo bar every other day, as the deep cleanse can feel drying if used daily.
Keep it dry between uses – Use a well-draining soap dish to prevent the bar from sitting in water. This helps it last longer and stay firm.
If using a sisal bag, hang it up to dry after use to avoid moisture buildup.
Store unused bars in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and humidity.

While our Face and Body Bar soaps are machine cold pressed, our shampoo bars are hand mixed cold process soaps.
This makes the shampoo bar much softer and easier to lather, making washing your hair and scalp with a bar soap just as easy as with a liquid or gel-form shampoo.
