SKIN CARE STEPS

CLEANSE
Cleansing your face is an indispensable step in any skincare routine. It removes dirt, oil, sunscreen, and other impurities that accumulate throughout the day. Proper cleansing promotes skin renewal and ensures your skin is ready to absorb the nutrients from your next steps.

PREP
Toning is an important yet often overlooked step. A good toner helps restore your skin’s ideal pH (around 4.5–5.5), lightly hydrates, and soothes. It also leaves your skin slightly damp—perfectly prepped to absorb serums, moisturizers, and face oils more effectively.

TREAT & NOURISH
This is where your skincare becomes more personalized. Whether it’s a serum, moisturizer, eye cream, or face oil—this step is all about feeding your skin what it needs. Hydration, brightening, firming, or calming—choose what suits your skin goals, and layer thoughtfully.

PROTECT (DAYTIME)
In the morning, sun protection is essential. A broad-spectrum sunscreen shields your skin from harmful UV rays, pollution, and premature aging. No skincare routine is complete without this final step—your skin’s daily defense layer.
Step 3 - Nourish & Treat
Serums, Face Oils, Moisturisers

HOW IT ALL STARTED?
SQUALANE+
During the pandemic, out of pure luck and boredom— we started a small content campaign to test different face oils and see which worked best for our skin and climate. We weren’t planning to create a product, but the results were clear—and so was the response. The participants started asking if they could actually buy it.
That experiment became SQUALANE+, our first skincare product and now one of our bestsellers. It marked the start of a new chapter: making purposeful skincare, guided by real needs, real people, and real results.

Frequently Asked Questions
Natural skincare refers to products made primarily from naturally derived ingredients—such as plant extracts, oils, minerals, and botanicals—rather than synthetic chemicals. These ingredients are often chosen for their skin-friendly properties, traditional uses, and minimal environmental impact.
Not necessarily. While many natural ingredients are gentle, nourishing, and effective, not all natural ingredients are automatically better, and not all synthetic ingredients are harmful. At Re{me}dy, we believe in choosing what works best for your skin—safely, effectively, and responsibly.
We prioritize natural, plant-based ingredients where they perform well, but we’re also open to using safe, science-backed synthetic alternatives when they offer significantly better efficacy, enhanced stability, or when no natural option can achieve the same results.
From an environmental standpoint, natural ingredients are generally more sustainable—they’re often biodegradable, derived from renewable resources, and require less energy to produce. That’s why, whenever possible, we choose natural. But our guiding principle remains the same: to create the best possible product, one that balances performance, safety, and environmental impact.
Yes—many of our products are formulated with sensitive skin in mind. We follow a “less is more” approach, using gentle, non-irritating ingredients and avoiding common sensitizers like harsh sulfates, synthetic fragrances, and unnecessary fillers.
We also prioritize natural and plant-based ingredients known for their soothing, calming properties, and where needed, incorporate science-backed actives at skin-safe levels. However, since every skin is unique, we always recommend doing a patch test first, especially if you have known sensitivities or allergies.
If you’re unsure, our team is happy to guide you toward the best products for your skin type.
Our products are designed to deliver results on par with high-end skincare—but with a cleaner, more conscious approach. We use clinically proven actives and high-performance natural ingredients that are commonly found in premium formulations, carefully selected for their efficacy, safety, and skin compatibility.
What makes Re{me}dy different is our belief in purposeful simplicity. Every ingredient we use serves a clear function, and every formula is crafted with intention—no unnecessary fillers, no overcomplication. We also design our products with sustainability in mind, using biodegradable ingredients and offering circular packaging wherever possible.
We don't care nor do we want a glossy luxury branding, our focus has always been on making the best responsible skincare that’s Better for You, Better for our Planet.
We believe good skincare should be thoughtful, not overloaded. At Re{me}dy, we follow the principle of “less is more”—formulating with only the ingredients your skin truly needs, and nothing unnecessary.
Some brands pack multiple actives into one product to make bold marketing claims or to cover overlapping functions across toners, serums, and moisturizers. But more isn’t always better—using too many actives at once can overwhelm the skin, lead to irritation, or simply cancel each other out.
We keep our formulations simple and purposeful. Each ingredient is chosen for a reason—to perform a specific role effectively, in synergy with the rest of the formula. This approach allows us to create balanced, focused products that support your skin’s natural function and allow you to build a routine that works.
Yes, you can. Our products are designed to be gentle, versatile, and easy to integrate into your existing skincare routine. We keep our formulations simple and purposeful, so they generally layer well with most other products—whether natural or conventional.
That said, everyone’s skin is different. What works for one person may not work for another, so it’s important to find a routine that suits your unique skin needs, lifestyle, and climate. We always recommend introducing new products one at a time, so you can observe how your skin responds.
And if you’re using active ingredients like retinol, AHAs, or vitamin C, it’s a good idea to check for compatibility when combining products from different brands.
Not at all. Skincare doesn’t need to be complicated—just consistent and right for you.
If your skin looks good and you’re happy with it, stick with what works. There’s no need to keep adding products just because trends say so. That said, we do recommend building a basic routine that covers the essentials:
Cleanse → Tone → Hydrate → Protect.
This could be as simple as a cleanser, toner, moisturiser or face oil, and sunscreen.
From there, you can add on targeted treatments—like serums or masks—based on your skin’s needs, not just marketing.
There’s a lot of pressure out there to start using actives like retinol at a very young age, but we don’t believe that’s necessary for everyone. In your 20s, your skin is still producing collagen naturally. Once you’re past 30 and begin noticing fine lines or changes in skin texture, then anti-aging support can be helpful—but always at your own pace.
WHY choose re{me}dy?
Many brands talk about green initiatives, but we invite you to see it for yourself. We don't claim to be Green, we just seek to be Responsible. Visit our store in Kampung Attap, KL, where we dry used coffee grounds from Piu Piu Piu, sort recyclables, and sanitize donated bottles and jars for reuse. We’re not here to talk trends—we’re here to take responsibility.
We only create products we’re proud to use ourselves—safe, effective, and well formulated. If it’s not something we’d confidently put on our own skin, we simply won’t sell it.
Good products need good ingredients. If a deal seems too good to be true, it probably is. We’re not the most affordable brand—but we’re certainly more accessible than top-tier skincare labels, and our products deliver comparable quality, without the excessive markup.
Many international brands are developed with cooler, drier climates in mind—which often makes their products feel too heavy, greasy, or ineffective here. Ours are lightweight, breathable, and designed to perform where we actually live—right here in Malaysia.
